Beautiful post. I think where I get stuck sometimes is the difference between natural time and God’s time. Those powers & principalities know they will ultimately lose, but they aren’t going down without a fight. I have no idea if I will see His victory in this natural world or from the other side, but I know I will see it. But the empath in me becomes overwhelmed sometimes; especially when the evil involves children

I agree, the gap between our timeline and God's timeline is frustrating. But it's obviously true - it's been 2000 years and the second coming hasn't happened yet. I guess that means we still have work to do. In Luke Jesus says to "occupy until I come," or "do business until I come."

I often reflect on that verse because it's overflowing with meaning. We are supposed to keep on with the mission He gave us because He won't come until some condition is met (Paul calls it the "fullness of the gentiles").

And yes, the evil against children brings me to my knees in desperation!
